Jaime van Schyndel has a decade of specialized experience in sourcing coffee through 'direct trade'. He founded barismo Inc in '08 and became one of the early companies leading the charge that would become a wave redefining modern specialty coffee. As an inventor with brewing patents through his other company Draft Coffee Solutions, he is an entrepreneur that thrives on solving problems. Jaime has also been a blogger, consultant, culinary coffee instructor, and at times a panelist or presenter.
Lu Valena is the former owner of Voltage Coffee & Art, a venture-backed coffeehouse and gallery in Cambridge, MA. She holds a Masters in Gastronomy/Food Studies, and is fascinated by food and narrativity. She is a financial literacy instructor for Rethink Restaurants, and is a passionate business plan evangelist. She also proudly heads the arts initiative Bait/Switch.
As our technical project manager, Chris utilizes his experience in IT, software development, cloud architecture and project management to deliver Qtoria's surprisingly-less-frustrating software solutions (SLFSS). Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending his time biking, learning guitar and searching for the best burger Boston has to offer.
Paul Kim is a Research Manager at Philanthropy Northwest where he is managing a network of over 180 grantmaking organizations in the Pacific Northwest region. Prior to joining Philanthropy Northwest, Paul worked with nonprofits, industry experts, and international agencies in his role as director of operations at the Mae Fah Luang Foundation. While overseeing a specialty coffee project under Doitung Development Project in Thailand, he has successfully achieved farm-to-retail integration and championed transformation towards a sustainable model.
Benjamin Osowiecki is a mobile developer currently in his senior year of study at Keene State College. He enjoys traveling, learning new things, and biking in his spare time. Ben's favorite programming languages are Swift and Matlab.
Ricardo Gehrke Filho is a brazilian mobile developer who loves giving life to smart and beautiful apps. Turning coffee into code is one of his passions.
